Maple Coffee Table

I finally uploaded a couple of pictures of my first woodworking project since I was a kid in junior high industrial arts class. In the fall of last year, 2005, I took an evening woodworking class from Loyalist College and decided on making a coffee table since I have a lot of missing pieces of furniture in my house, including a lack of tables other than the dining room table which I bought used with 3.5 chairs for a hundred dollars.

The table top is 48 by 30 1/2 inches and 7/8 inches thick of solid maple. The legs are 3 inches squared and the overall table height is 16 1/8 inches. It is all solid maple construction, with only 6 screws to attach the top to the frame. The table has a bit of weight to it, I would guess nearly 50 pounds.
